The 2008 Casino Affiliate
Convention in Montreal is just around the corner. With little over a week
remaining, prospective attendees can save $100 if they register before August
21. The convention itself kicks off bright and early on Monday, August 27, 2007
at the Intercontinental Hotel and will run through the following day. For those
of you unfamiliar with the Casino Affiliate Convention, it is the single largest
conference geared toward affiliates working in the online gambling industry.
CAC began back in 2003, and is held
multiple times throughout the year at accessible locations around the world,
including Montreal, Amsterdam, Macau and Las Vegas (Las Vegas, however, was
passed over this year due to the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act). Worldwide marketing and advertising are the primary focus of
these conferences, covering the most popular forms of online gambling such as
poker, online casinos, sports betting, bingo and skill games.
The most recent Casino Affiliate
Convention took place back in May, 2007 in Amsterdam. Bringing together over
1,000 casino executives and 500 affiliates (the largest in the history of the
CAC), the Amsterdam event was a testament to the growth of the European online
gambling industry. Also tapped for considerable growth is the Asian facing
gaming industry, which CAC hopes to foster with a two-day conference in Macau
(November 28-29).
The upcoming Montreal conference
will focus solely on marketing and advertising from an affiliates perspective.
Affiliates are now the primary source for marketing and advertising for online
casinos, poker rooms and sportsbooks, and as such, are in high demand. Although
the competition is tough, the multi-billion dollar gaming industry continues to
expand into new markets. New affiliates can attend the Montreal conference for
free by becoming a sponsor. Those interested in doing so should visit
www.cac2007.com/sponsored-affiliate-montreal.php. Otherwise, the cost for
registration is $550 after August 21. At-door registration begins at 7:45 am on
August 27 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Montreal.
