Amidst the growing demand for mobile online casino
gambling, it has become apparent that more effective mobile phone safety
mechanisms are needed to guard against online viruses, spyware and spam.
Recently answering this call was Kaspersky Lab - the UK based online and mobile
security firm, who announced their latest mobile security product release.
Called the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile, the
upgraded program is compatible with mobile phones that use the Symbian and
Windows mobile operating systems, also known as Smartphones. Using new
integrated security solutions, Kaspersky says the program is more user-friendly,
not to mention the fact that it implements newer technologies offering better
protection against malware and unsolicited SMS messages.
In addition to a comprehensive antivirus database,
software updates (including the latest virus preventives) can be received via an
automatic software updater linked with Kaspersky Lab servers. Very similar to
home computer anti-virus programs, the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile program now
enables users to gamble at online casinos via their mobile phone with even more
peace of mind.
A spokesperson for Kaspersky Lab said the company
is very confident about its latest upgrade. As cyber criminals find new ways to
propagate malicious code and infect mobile phones, Kaspersky has been finding
better ways to meet the new challenges. Much like anti-spyware programs used on
personal computers, Anti-Virus Mobile is able to scan specific folders and
downloaded files, as well as quarantine those objects found to be harmful to the
mobile phone's operating platform. Preventing deletion of needed files, the
program offers needed protection for more than just online casino browsing.
