We recently reported
on a fantastic promotion and player rewards scheme at the famed Connecticut
tribal casino, Foxwoods, which happens to be one of the largest, if not
largest, casinos in the World.
One of the catchiest and most generous offerings
making up their summer promotion, "Ultimate Happy Hours at Foxwoods", is the giveaway of
an Apple iPhone every ten minutes during "Happy Hours" (every Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. over the entire summer). Now, with so many iPhone's to
keep track of, it makes sense that Foxwoods would want to become an official
authorized Apple product resellers, which is precisely what Foxwoods has done.
Following on the
heels of their "Ultimate Happy Hour" press release, the world's largest casino
issued another press release announcing the agreement signed with Apple to
resell their products at a kiosk in Foxwood's retail concourse. Foxwood's
President, John O'Brien said he is very happy to be starting an affiliation
with a company such as Apple. O'Brien referred to the days ahead as very
exciting, to say the least.
Much of O'Brien's excitement is understandably
regarding the opening of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino (which Foxwood's will
operate). Set to open in the Spring of 2008, the MGM branded casino promises
to be of the highest Vegas standard.
In conjunction with
the MGM, Foxwood's will also be opening a high-end shopping outlet. Joining
the lineup of upscale boutiques and designer store, an Apple retail store is
already in the works following the recent agreement. All sorts of Apple
merchandise will be available here, including iPods, tellies, mac's and of
course, more iPhones.
If you already have an iPhone, the more power to you.
Currently, there are only a handful of online casinos offering no-download
casino games compatible with the iPhone -
SlotLand
being one of them.
