Gaming Laboratories
International (GLI) will soon be a common name around the online gambling
industry, now that they have become the first online casino software testing and
fairness verification laboratory to be approved by the UK Gambling Commission.
Widely known in the land-based gambling industry, with nine manned offices
spread out over several countries, including the UK, US, Australia, South
Africa, Italy and the Netherlands, GLI and their subsidiary UK branch, GLI
Europe, is already backed by highly credible credentials.
GLI currently has over
four-hundred employees on the books, and has consulted casino operators and
tested gambling machines and gaming software server systems in over 360
different gambling jurisdictions, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New
Zealand, South Africa, The Caribbean, Asia, Russia and throughout Eastern and
Western Europe. GLI now says they are ready to begin taking applications for
online software testing from UK online casinos and betting sites.
According to a press
release issued by GLI, the company has been preparing for a UK certification for
over a year. Having upped their engineering resources to handle an increased
work load, GLI is certainly well prepared for the online gaming sector and well
deserves being the first accredited testing facility by the UK Gambling
Commission. Peter Cercone, who is GLI Europe's General Manager, said he is
looking forward to working closely with the Gambling Commission as technical
requirements for all sectors of the online gaming industry are phased into
regulatory practices.
All online casinos
regulated under the jurisdiction of the UK Gambling Commission will be required
to have proper software fairness verification tests done to accurately show the
software is inherently fair. Furthermore, to ensure each software platforms
Random Number Generator is operating without effectively and glitch-free,
continued ongoing monitoring and testing will be done as well. Although not
mentioned in their press release, it is likely that GLI will be preparing payout
percentage reports for
UK online casinos
as well. For more information on GLI, please visit: gaminglabs.com
