Localized Online Gambling Site Offers a New Spin on Promos

Online Casino Project Staff
October 10, 2006

Localized online gambling sites are not a common occurrence in the betting industry. Considering it is a global industry that is infused with online casinos and gaming operators offering multilingual software platforms and having the capacity and technology for international diversification, the notions of running a successful online gambling business catering to a localized, land-based sector do not seem as realistic as an all-in-one offshore betting site. BayBets.com, however, is proud to say they are an exception to the case. Catering to recreational bettors residing in the San Francisco Bay area, BayBets has just announced in a press release their latest promotions and "juiceless" bets.

According to company spokesperson, Drew Preston, BayBets has become successful at tapping into a specialized market by giving locals what locals want. In other words, the promotions being offered are focused specifically on the Bay Area, such as free meals to local restaurants, tickets to local sporting and entertainment events and anything else that may be interesting, useful and fun to experience in and around San Francisco. Preston reflected on recent promotions being thrown by online casinos and sportsbooks, referring to the actual probability of winning a trip to see the Final Four. While it looks like an outstanding package to win, the reality is that most people will not do so. Therefore, BayBets not only offers more relevant prizes, they offer a greater amount of promos so that just about everyone gets a share of the winnings.

It may be surprising to some bettors that since recent U.S. legislation prohibiting online gambling BayBets is still taking live wagers. However, the site is focused on doing business as usual, and continues to operate according to internet gaming regulations in San Jose, Costa Rica, which is where the business is headquartered and licensed. In addition to live sports bets, which include juiceless bets on several local San Francisco games and a myriad of betting options like parlays, round robin's teasers, win-if bets, action-if bets and win reverse bets (everything found at a traditional online sportsbook), BayBets also offers bets on horseracing and online casino games with table stakes as low as $1 at casino favorites like baccarat, craps, roulette, single deck and single hand blackjack, and six-deck blackjack.
