Grand Prive may not be a good bet

I have my favorite online casinos to play with and fortunately Grand Prive isn’t one of them.  It seems the casino is stuck in a battle over fairness and image, and its latest moves may not be helping it.

Grand Prive faced previous charges of non payment issues to affiliates who bring business into the casino.  This may not have been a big or noticeable issue to actual gamblers on the site since it’s a bit like discovering the casino isn’t keeping up with advertising accounts.  If they keep paying off wins to gamblers themselves, people may not look deeper.  And it actually seemed that Grand Prive was doing everything it could to rectify the issue and prove they were a fair and legit casino operation.  They called in eCOGRA to do an investigation on the issue, an action that drew praise from many in the industry.

But now that investigation has gone sour.  When eCOGRA began looking into Grand Prive’s affairs, they stated that they had received complete cooperation from the online casino and used the information provided to them to calculate the amount owed affiliates.  And the good news seemed to be that the casino was paying back affiliates.  So, a minor glitch and things were now in order again. Or so it seemed.

But now it seems that the affiliates are still disputing the payments amounts and the question has been raised as to whether or not Grand Prive actually made complete disclosure of its records to eCOGRA. The statement released by eCOGRA states that it reviewed the records provided to it and was not made aware of any other pertinent information. This statement from eCOGRA seems to strive for neutrality.  The auditing agency is not accusing or defending Grand Prive, but simply explaining its process.  However now there is speculation in the industry that Grand Prive may have furnished eCOGRA with incomplete records in an effort to create a smokescreen that would make them seem a fair casino but allow them to escape without paying all the money they owed.

Now even the players are beginning to notice.  Because once a company starts cheating one group, can other groups really keep their faith in the company?
