New Casino to review Jackpot Games

There’s a new casino in town. Jackpot Games which is positioning itself as “The home of grown up gambling. ”

I’m not sure how to take this. Grown up as in tougher or more serious?  You can’t play if you’re under 18 (a basic casino rule about everywhere).  Grown up? Look Jackpot, that phrase is right beside the drawing of a cartoon blonde babe name Lucky Lucy and is followed by an ad with soda bottles and another with cartoon wild witches.  The one phrase the site doesn’t scream to me is “grown up.”

Okay, I do want to play the Wild Witch slot. But first I have to register. No problem. Sign up is instant.  Instant has apparently been defined by the same people who define “grown up.” Which means it isn’t. The site wants full details on name, address, email, etc.  I prefer sites that at least let me get started with just an email until I’m ready to add some money to the account.  But even this sign up could be faster.  The problem is that the little red check mark that shows up if you input  a field wrong is difficult to spot.  Apparently I didn’t input the country code correctly with the plus sign in the right place. It took a few minutes to figure out that because they don’t provide an error message. They let you hit the submit button until you get frustrated and go searching for the problem. Or leave. But I’m reviewing them, so they won’t get hold of me that easily.

Now, all the fields are input and they’ve sent an activiation email. Not uncommon, but hardly instant.

So, I’m in. Off to play Wild Witches. Hmm, No free or practice play option.  Jackpot Games says they’ll cater to all my requirements, but what if practice play mode is one of my requirements. Actually, it is a requirement. They’ve already failed on the “instant” registration, now they’ve failed on a second point.  And I can’t check out Wild Witches for free, which makes me … well, it makes me go to Google to find out who else has Wild Witches because I’d like to play a bit before giving a casino my money.

So, a quick Google search and I’m off playing Wild Witches elsewhere.  I think I’d call this a casino fail. Nothing against Jackpot Games, but perhaps they need to rethink their strategy a bit.

Oh, Jackpot Games is licensed with the EU Maltese Authority and runs on NetEnt software. They offer over 80 casino games and 31 of those are slots games (actually, I only count 56 games, unless they add in the multi-hand games for video poker).  They don’t accept players from the United States and they don’t offer a free play option.

Wild Witches is fun.  I may review that in another post.  But I’m playing on a free site.
