Slot Review – Chain Mail Slots

I stumbled across this game while reviewing Mummys Gold Casino.  I was so strange, I had to go back and play it to write a review.  But I bebopped over to Villento Vegas where I play more often to give the reels a spin.

This is a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot that you should not play while hungry. I’m warning you because I’m playing right before lunch and I’m about to munch on the monitor.  Why? Because for some unexplained reason half the symbols in this game are food related.  I’ve looked out on the web to see if anyone has any explanation for this, but all I find is that it is “humorous” to have a medieval themed slot with fast food.  The other half of the symbols relate to the Chain Mail theme with a pun on Mail being represented by the letter and postal symbols.  (food equals food chains maybe?)

But on with the slot. It actually is fun and the symbols certainly don’t rely on the old 9, 10, J, Q, K that we see so often. We have the food symbols which include princess purple ice cream with a tiara, Food skewered kabob style on an arrow, Coco Knight Delight ice cream, King’s Fried Chicken in a bucket and pizza served on crossed weapons.  Then we have the medieval and postal related symbols including Princess Roxy, Our noble knight in shining armor carrying a letter, his noble steed, a postal bag, and a mail box.

The mail pouch is the scatter symbol and  Chain Mail symbol is the  wild symbol which doubles your win when substituting for a win.  The letter B on a bridge will open the drawbridge and the Castle Bonus round.  But the Bridge symbol has to land on reels 1, 3 and 5.  The Castle Bonus is a fun game where you choose a castle door in an attempt to rescue Princess Roxy.  You’ll also win coins. But if you find Uncle Mordread the round ends and you go back to spinning the reels.

Chain Mail is a creative game and fun to play. I just want someone to explain how the food icons connect to the theme.  Fast food? The princess is hungry? The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?
