Yesterday I reviewed Lock Casino’s new interface which they are currently beta testing and gave it high marks. One of the aspects that impressed me was the free play or practice play mode that is accessible to players without registering with the site or signing in. This is a true free gaming option to the public that is bound to help more people become familiar with online gambling. And if they do decided to switch to playing for money, they’ll probably chose to open that account at a casino they’re already comfortable with, which will be the one that offered them the free play mode.
So, when I saw an article this morning stating that Sloto Cash has introduced an anonymous free play mode, I thought perhaps I was seeing a new trend in attracting customers. But somewhere along the line, someone has completely missed the mark on what anonymous means and who they need to attract. To play Sloto Cashes anonymous free play, I’m informed that I don’t need to download, register or log in, instead I only need to enter two pieces of information – my affiliate number (Yo! Sloto, Bro, if I tell you who I am it’s not anonymous) and the other is the game identity code, which apparently I can get by emailing them.
So, Sloto, is this “new and exciting feature” just in a test mode for affiliates? If so, I’m sorry, no, you fail. If I can’t use the feature as you would expect any customer to use it, I can’t evaluate it as a new feature. I can only evaluate it based on the situation given — which currently makes the anonymous free play somewhat less anonymous than signing up for the site.
But don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get lots of coverage on the new feature. Just like new slots games always have reviews posted on them about a day after they’re announced and before the game has even been developed. I don’t want to write a review based on a press release. I want you to show me your site or your game and impress me for real.
