Will Full Tilt Survive? The odds aren’t good

On July 26th, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission will hold that long awaited hearing regarding Full Tilt Poker. And since this is a hearing about an online poker site aka a gambling site, it only makes sense that someone would offer gambling odds on the outcome of the hearing.  Well, the odds are being offered by PaddyPower, a British company which means they’ll take bets on anything, including the color of the Queen’s hat. (I’m not exaggerating. They actually do take bets on the color of hat Queen Elizabeth will wear to public events.)

And PaddyPower is taking bets on whether or not Full Tilt Poker will be back up and running on July 27th and the odds are 1 to 8 and not in Full Tilt Poker’s favor.  And Paddy Power is making the betting more fun. If someone places a 10 pound bet in Full Tilt’s favor, they’ll match that with 10 pounds in your PaddyPower poker account.  So, if you’re in the UK and can place a bet with PaddyPower, you might want to risk 10 pounds because you could win a nice amount on July 27th, but odds are you won’t. But as the folks at PaddyPower point out, you’ll get the ten pounds back to play poker at their site with. So, you won’t lose anything — not even a good online poker room.

Living in the US? Well, then you can’t take advantage of the PaddyPower offer and your big question about Full Tilt Poker is probably — when will they refund the money they owe to American players. And will the hearing with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission address that issue.
