The Role of Luck in the Online Casinos

Luck is always a positive and helpful factor when gambling in the online casino. Luck is a factor, period. And just as helpful as it is to reap the benefits of luck, doing without luck can be a painful experience.

A good definition of luck is that it is the ebb and flow of positive and negative fluctuation. Although it is nigh impossible to predict exactly when luck will manifest, it is certain that for positive expectation games with a higher Casino Edge, luck will be a major factor in helping you walk away with money in your pocket or eventually going broke.

Games with a high House Edge will inevitably suck a bankroll dry in the long run...that is unless luck steps in and saves the day. However, any smart gambler will tell you not to count on it. If you find gambling to be a relaxing and entertaining activity and do not mind spending money for your entertainment, then by all means, keep gambling at high expectation games. However, if you want luck to even out your losses in the long run, stick with playing games of skill, like blackjack and video poker.

Online casinos are always open, and as such, they know the numbers are in their advantage. They know that in the long run those high expectation games will be in their favor. Luck will be bestowed on a handful of players, yet they know the combined losses of all the others will keep them in the green.

This being said, it should be good to know that the outcome of games is not strictly on math, for if it was, the online casinos would win every time. However, since luck is part of the big picture, gamblers keep coming back for more.

So what exactly constitutes the luck factor in the long run? Your guess is as good as any. What is known, however, is that good strategy used in conjunction with games of skill, such as blackjack and poker, will nudge a player onto the positive side of the casinos court, and thereby increase one's chances of holding out for the gift of luck.
