Planning a Trip to Las Vegas and Nevada Casinos

If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas for the first time, not only is it necessary for you to make accommodations for having a good time, it is important that you keep in mind how not to have a bad time. There is plenty of everything for everybody in Las Vegas, and if you are not aware of what you are getting into ahead of time, you could be in for some big trouble.

If you place bets in the online casino, you should be familiar with this first word of warning - Don't gamble too much. Remember, you should be enjoying your vacation time in Las Vegas, not consuming yourself with thoughts about winning a large sum of money from the casino.

The next big no-no you should be aware of and try to avoid in Las Vegas is drinking too much alcohol. It is common fare for the cocktail waitresses to supply a never-ending river of alcoholic drinks to anyone who is placing bets - whether it's at the slot machines or tables - and they will keep bringing them until you say no. Pace yourself and keep reminding yourself that you don't want to make bad betting decisions, nor wake up the next morning with a hangover you will never forget.

Although it is best to plan out where you will be eating and experiencing the night scene ahead of time, you will likely do some wandering along the Strip. First of all, do not drive anywhere on the Strip (the traffic can be a nightmare, so bring some good walking shoes); Secondly, expect to pay plenty for cover charges and drinks when hitting up the night clubs ($30 cover charges and $12 drinks). If you seek out the lounges at casinos like the Venetian, Wynn, Mandalay Bay and the Mirage you will likely find prices at a fraction of the cost.

The bottom line is to do your research ahead of time. Take a break in between you gambling sessions at the online casinos and do some research on the Web. Look up the various restaurants, clubs and any activities you are interested in, and budget accordingly. Remember to bring a certain portion of money for gambling, And above all, remember to relax and have fun.
